About Bantayan Island

Off the coast of northern Cebu is the paradise-like island of Bantayan. It is renowned for its white sand beaches and clear waters, which are excellent for kayaking, cliff diving, swimming, and island hopping. It is divided into three municipalities:

Santa Fe - This area of the island is where the ferry terminal is situated. The majority of tourist attractions, bars & restaurants, and well rated accommodations are all located here.

Bantayan - the biggest and most populated municipality. Here, you can visit places like St. Peter and Paul Church, Bantayan Island Nature Park Resort's pool cave, and Obo-ob Mangrove Eco Park.

Madridejos  - When traveling from the ferry terminal, this municipality is the farthest. Kota Park is located here where you can watch the breathtaking sunset at the beach.

Bantayan Island is not only a beach destination; it is also a fishing village. Their danggit is well-known (dried fish). As a result, while visiting Bantayan Island, you can be sure to fill your days with food tours and feast on the finest seafood at a lesser cost.

How to get to Bantayan Island

Not from Cebu? You need to fly to Mactan-Cebu International Airport first.


Airlines:

Cebu Pacific

From the Airport, ride the MyBus shuttle to SM City Cebu parking lot (new location). It costs ₱50 pesos.

You can take the Ceres bus to Hagnaya Port or directly to Santa Fe. Travel time is around 3.5 - 4 hs. The fare is around ₱260 - ₱300. 

You have to take the ferry from Hagnaya Port to Santa Fe. Travel time is around 1 - 1.5 hrs. Click here for Schedules & Fares. 

You have to pay ₱30 ecological feel at Santa Fe terminal.

You can take your own vehicle until Hagnaya Port. From there, your car should board the ferry as well. The fare is from ₱3000. 

Additional info: Bantayan Island Airport will open soon. Therefore, you can directly book a flight going to the island.
